  1. Ryanair is of course extremely active in Italy, and have a lot of domestic routes as well as international routes. Italy of course had a terrible, vastly loss making, vastly subsidised national airline, and Ryanair went in and took them on, very successfully. Somehow, Michael O’Leary is exactly what the Italian government deserves.
