Holy Rollers
Mark Holland

The Pope obviously has friends in high places.

Watch out for his (His?) car driving edicts which Brian mentioned the other day get a boost from our new Transport Secretary: Ruth - Holy Moly - Kelly.

Related exit thought: Heathens are surely going to be safer drivers than believers in an after-life for whom a fatal crash is merely a stepping stone rather than a full stop. No?

Feedback

  1. The Secretary of State for Transport really ought to adopt a self-denying ordinance and drive herself, or cycle, or walk, or use public transport.  She should reject use of a goverment car.  And pigs will fly.

  2. Surely, in an eternal after-life the concept of danger would be rather spurious?  Or did you mean just life? as in heathens make safer drivers because they know this is the only life they’re ever going to get.

  3. Ok, “those who believe in an afterlife”. That’s what I mean. I’m thinking of Sikhs and Hindus with their religious paraphernalia dangling off the rear view mirror, fills you with confidence that. “Red light? Who cares? I’m coming back as a tiger!”

I’m not entirely serious you’ll be pleased to know.
